The ski resort

The resort Les Contamines-Montjoie - Hauteluce provides an amazing 360° skiing area right in front of the Mont-Blanc! All the levels and activities are available: 120 km slopes Alpine skiing, 26 km cross-country skiing, green, blue, red and black slopes, 4 snowparks (cross-zone and X-zone), often an amazing snow cover, snowshoes facilities, dogsled, etc.

Skiing area access

The chalet Les Trolles is located of the same side of the valley than the skiing area. To reach the skiing area from the chalet:

Walking

Flat walk about 10-15 min long.

Driving

2 min, large car parks at the Lay cable-car (1^st access) and the Gorge cable-car (2^nd access) used to reach the slopes.

With the bus shuttle

3 shuttle lines are available between the cable-cars and the village. One of them goes directly through the hamlet Le Nivorin with a stop 50 m far from the chalet (stop "Nivorin"): please consult the details (timetables, map) here

Hiking, Alpinism, Ski touring

If you would like to discover the wild mountains outside the skiing area, a large range of hiking, alpinism or ski touring opportunities are available. Furthermore, Les Contamines-Montjoie is a stop on the famous Tour du Mont-Blanc walk and the starting point of many famous hiking walks (the Bonhomme pass through the roman road for example) or famous alpinism / ski touring itineraries.
